eTwinning project "Taste the present"

Welcome to the project "Taste the present"!

“Taste the present” is our project about mindfulness.

Mindfulness is simply... noticing what is happening right now.

Anyone can do it.

About the project

The purpose of this project is to spark our pupils’ interest in mindfulness and the idea of training the mind. The project will lead our pupils to develop the ability to accurately identify and regulate their own emotions and thoughts thanks to mindfulness activities and experiencing a new way of being in a relationship with things and people as they are. Recognizing emotions provides the opportunity for developing strategies to regulate them, which can lead to building positive relationships. Through mindfulness, our pupils will strengthen the ability to empathize with others including those from diverse backgrounds and cultures. This project is designed to illustrate different aspects of mindfulness.

Aims

Mindfulness can help both teachers and students to reduce stress and anxiety, become more aware of their thoughts, feelings, and body sensations and being able to better manage them.
Practicing Mindfulness can give more insight into emotions, boost attention and concentration, support social and emotional growth, and improve relationships.

Acts of Kindness

Starting our project in a good mood is very important, why don't practice random acts of kindness to others.

Doing little things for others can make a big difference: it could help us appreciate others and work better together.

Golden Rule

Treat others as you want to be treated. Keep in mind that fairness is very important to the other side.

We devote this eTwinning project to the outstanding woman,
mother, friend, teacher, colleague Giovanna Succio,
who is not with us any more, but who will always live in our hearts.
She started this project, and we continued
and completed it to honour her light memory.
